March 25th is the big day for a new Batman movie to prove itself. Yes, Superman is in it, but it is obvious that all eyes are on the man in black. Director Christopher Nolan has left behind very large high-res shoes to fill. His Dark Knight trilogy rewrote the world of Batman, with a grittier/realistic approach - a great departure from the cartoon-like caped crusader from the days of old.
The director of the new bat flick is Zack Snyder, a director who is no stranger to the world of super heroes. He brought us movies like the Watchmen, Sucker Punch, 300 and The Man Of Steel, which could make a strong case for the new movie's success.
Many are wondering if Ben Affleck can pull it off as well. Will he be a good Bruce Wayne, most importantly, Batman? The jury is still out on that one.
Aside from Jesse Eisenberg's cringe-worthy bad guy lines, the trailer looks entertaining enough. Perhaps the film will forge a new story line for Batman. Perhaps, it will find a respectable spot among the countless other Batman movies. In less than a month we'll find out.
