Kinda wish the Oscars and GGs did ensemble acting awards. Too often a film gets best pic, and maybe a best actor, actress or one of the supporting wins. But really its the whole cast that gets the job done. Mark of a good production crew too, with how much you can assemble actors best for the roles and get the most out of them. I think that's almost as telling as a "Best Picture" nomination.
I don't think most people care if the directing, writing, sound mixing, etc is top notch. If you didn't put together a solid cast, it's just not a good film.
Looking forward to seeing if The Big Short and perhaps Mad Men can take those two home at the SAGs. I believe they were the most deserving.
