I waited quite some time to actually sit down and watch 'DareDevil'. I basically had zero interest in the series. But I am all for giving all shows their fair chance. Once I finally had nothing else to watch one night, I figured I would give it a go. Now I am super happy that I did.
Reason number one. If you are a superhero fan such as myself, it does a very good job of keeping Matt Murdock (aka DD) as a die-hard protector of the public.
Two. There are a flood of superhero movies hitting the big screen these days. This is a great escape from them. Not that any are bad. But they have to hold themselves to a more serious standard that Netflix.
Three. Blood, bones, violence. This series has all of those. As much as I love the Avengers, I'm kinda tired of seeing an entire city get destroyed and not a drop of blood on anyone. It's unrealistic.
Four. The main character, Charlie Cox is outstanding. I really liked his role in 'Boardwalk Empire' as Nuck's right hand man. I was super happy when I saw the first episode and noticed it was him.
And finally, fifth. The show doesn't take itself too seriously. It's hard to explain what I mean by that. But it's just another reason for you to check the show out yourself.
