The Crown, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, This Is Us, and Westworld. While I don't understand nominating The Crown or This Is Us, I'm really happy to see the other 3 on here. They would certainly be on my short list. Of those though, regardless of who officially wins, who do you think SHOULD win?
I think you can make the case for any of the 3. Game of Thrones last season was probably the most memorable, and satisfying of that series. And that's saying a lot. Stranger Things though ushered in a wave of Netflix doing a lot of really out there, heady, sci fi drama shows, which I am totally on board for. I think if Stranger Things hadn't have been so popular, then shows like The Travelers and The OA wouldn't exist. Plus Stranger Things was great.
Then there's Westworld. While it wasn't the absolute most entertaining show of the year, it was certainly to me the smartest. And likely stuck with me the most after the finale. It's also a rare show, in that I feel compelled to rewatch the whole thing now.
I think shows like Mr. Robot and Black Mirror got overlooked. But since they are both sci fi (ish) themselves, I get the Globes trying to round out the drama nominees with other kinds of shows.
