So it's no secret that 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' was basically the definition of hit or miss with fans such as myself. Unfortunately for them, it was mostly miss. So most of the time you can (and it's fair) to point the blame on a combination of the director, actors, visuals, etc, but not this time. To me, it was Zack Snyder's fault completely.
It may seem a bit harsh to blame Snyder all the way, but he had every opportunity in the DC world to make that movie great. It took a long time to build up to that iconic trademark showdown, and he ruined it for me. I will say that the directors cut is a bit better, but that's still no excuse for what the cinematic presentation was. It fumbled all over the place.
And not to mention, Batman had enough angst and drive to break his own rules and go on the attack against Superman.... so.... something major had to calm Batman down, right? Nope.... Batman finding out that their mothers had the same name....Or at least that's what they made it look like to the casual audience.
I didn't intend to make this into a review about BvS. I just hope that this movie isn't anything like it. It very may be the straw that breaks the camel's back for DC. Please Snyder. Just please.
