Bruce Jenner has shown the world his other half, Caitlyn Jenner. Through the distinguished magazine, Vanity Fair, Mrs. Jenner made the cover in a pretty revealing wardrobe. Quite a risky move for the first appearance if you ask me, but I guess you might as well hit the headlines hard. They will be on it no matter what Jenner wore. The picture was followed with quite an extensive story as to Bruce's transition into a woman.

Here's a quick video with Bruce talking about the experience

Good for her. I think that every person has the right to be who they want to be. If they feel they are born of the wrong sex then all the power to them. It's not my business to judge. To each his own.

    I agree.

It's been interesting watching the media reaction to all of this. Some of them don't seem to know how to handle it while others have done a good job, at least in my opinion, of reporting this in an apolitical and compassionate manor. Everyone should be able to be the person they want to be without fear of judgement or ridicule from others.

It's been pretty cool to see how open and accepting a great majority of people are to this news. Gives me hope that culture has really grown up over the last few decades. Imagine Jenner doing this in the 80's or 90's? Hard to think it would nearly as positive a story.

I'm glad to see so many, "news" stations accepting this as something good. Though I sincerely hate that this has to be on the news channel anyway. There is quite a few other things going on in the world that are of some importance, it's good to see. But of course, there are a few online articles I have read today that sink their teeth into every single aspect of transgender-ness(?) to try and justify why he's wrong. The ones who are against it are only focusing on him not technically being a woman now. Are you kidding me? Of course he's not technically a woman just because of cosmetics and a name change. Do you think that he is unaware of the past 64 years of his life? I'm sure he is fully aware that he has not technically ever been a woman, and will technically never be a woman. If he wants to identify as a woman, more power to him. Do what ever makes you happy.

There is even a few articles talking about who technically won the Olympics. Bruce or Caitlyn. I don't even need to explain why that is an incredibly stupid question to even bring up.

Here's a promo that hit today for the docu-series.

I agree entirely. We have definitely come along way. I've been rather happy with most of the reporting, but there are still quite a few bad apples out there who really don't seem to get it. Jon Stewart did a great piece on those guys...

I've been a little frustrated with how certain media personalities have gone into overdrive in denigrating her. I'm not surprised that they are doing it, but it still make me sad that so many people in this country care what other people do with their lives. No one is getting hurt by Bruce Jenner becoming Caitlyn Jenner. It's not going to effect their lives in the least. It's just kind of sad that certain people would rather make fun of her. I try to live by the words that my mom taught me as a young child--if you can't say something nice about someone then it's better to say nothing at all.

I find it confounding why so many people care what other people do with their lives. It's not my business why Bruce became Caitlyn and don't really understand why so many people are losing sleep over it. The world will keep on spinning!

Well, her docu-series debuts tonight on E! Network. So if there are any misgivings about her story thus far, those should get cleared up over the next several weeks of airing the show, you would think. Hopefully not ad nauseam.
