Trevor Noah is preparing to host his first ever "Daily Show" tonight and I readily admit that I'm both excited and a bit worried about the direction of the show. Every new host/show has its growing pains and I'm sure Noah will be no different, but I also have other concerns about the direction he has hinted he will be taking the show in. I grew up watching Jon Stewart lampoon the 24/7 "news" cycle and Noah has hinted both covertly and overtly that he will be spending his time focusing on other issues outside of that model.

I understand that a new host will want to find their own niche and claim their new territory as their own, but that doesn't mean it will be easy for me to readily accept a dramatically different format after becoming so accustomed to the old one. Look at me...I'm starting to sound like the people I used to make fun of for not being able to adapt to a changing world!

Either way--I'm looking forward to seeing how Trevor Noah does when he hosts his first show tonight.

Trevor Noah is going to end The Daily Show's war against Fox News.

That came as a big surprise to me, but I guess it really shouldn't have. Anytime someone takes over a show they want to be able to run it the way they want to and not how their predecessor did.

Noah wants to take the show into a direction that focuses more on the emerging internet driven news and entertainment industry and not just on 24/7 television news channels. It's an interesting concept, but I do wonder how fans that grew so accustomed to Stewart's blistering diatribes against television news in general and Fox News in particular will react.

I will definitely give Noah a chance to stake his claim, but I am one of those loyal Daily Show viewers who does worry if Noah is going to be able to fill the void left behind by the iconic Stewart.

I'm not surprised that they are doing it, but it still make me sad that so many people in this country care what other people do with their lives. No one is getting hurt by Bruce Jenner becoming Caitlyn Jenner. It's not going to effect their lives in the least. It's just kind of sad that certain people would rather make fun of her. I try to live by the words that my mom taught me as a young child--if you can't say something nice about someone then it's better to say nothing at all.
I find it confounding why so many people care what other people do with their lives. It's not my business why Bruce became Caitlyn and don't really understand why so many people are losing sleep over it. The world will keep on spinning!

Only a few more days. This show is awesome. I think it's pretty funny how Netflix turned a 200 page book into a multiple season series, but that's just fine with me. This is one of my favorite shows and I can't wait for the new season to be released.

Me too. I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi books, but I do like a good sci-fi movie. I'm really looking forward to this one. Does anyone know when it's going to be in theaters?

I am really late to the party with Game of Thrones. I only started watching it recently and am halfway through the first season, but I am really starting to get into it. I figure if something has been around for that many seasons then it must be good!

Good for her. I think that every person has the right to be who they want to be. If they feel they are born of the wrong sex then all the power to them. It's not my business to judge. To each his own.

You should. The first season was amazing. I can only hope that the second is just as good if not better.

Yea, I agree. I'm sure this will all be swept under the rug after Depp pays a fine and promises to never do it again.

Congratulations to Ms. Willis, but I also have to wonder if the show is beginning to run low on people it can call celebrities?! I don't mean to demean Ms. Willis in any way, but it just seems like the show is really scratching to find 'celebrities' who are willing to come on the show...
